Abstract

Abstract: By analyzing the work principle of the Hydraulic Coupler,and the advantages and disadvantages of Torque-limited Hydraulic Coupler,Velocity Modulated Hydraulic Coupler in controlling belt conveyor,comparing the cost-effective of Torque-limited Hydraulic Coupler with Velocity Modulated Hydraulic Coupler. Selecting of soft-start equipment in the coal preparation plant is depending on the character of belt conveyor is proposed.At last,the suggestions that Hydraulic Coupler is prior option when reducing the investment in the coal preparation.

Key words: belt conveyor, soft-start equipment, Torque-limited Hydraulic Coupler, Velocity Modulated Hydraulic Coupler, variable frequency speed controlling equipment.
